In November 2017, the Virginia Department of Education (DOE) passed the new Computer Science Standards of Learning, making Virginia the first state in the country to mandate computer science (CS) education for all students.

The Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) understands that teaching computer science is hard. That’s why CSTA, a global organization with a teacher-led Board of Directors, has focused on creating a strong environment to support K–12 educators.

CSTA Virginia is the statewide chapter of CSTA, which offers virtual and regional training and networking opportunities.
